Terms of Service
These terms explain how I provide EPC assessments and floor plan services, and what you can expect when you book through this website. Last updated: 2026.
1. About these terms
This website is operated by RM Home Insights, a self-employed Domestic Energy Assessor serving Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire. By booking an assessment or floor plan through this site, you agree to these terms. You can reach me at russ@rmhomeinsights.co.uk.
2. Booking requests
Submitting a form on this site is a request for an appointment, not a confirmed booking. I will contact you using the name and contact details you provide to confirm a suitable date and time. A booking is only confirmed once we have agreed an appointment.
3. Your information and access
To carry out an assessment I need the details you submit, including the property address, and safe access to all rooms, the loft, and your heating controls on the day. Please make sure the information you provide is accurate so I can quote correctly and attend the right property. How I handle your personal details is set out in my Privacy Policy.
4. Prices and payment
Prices shown on this site are a guide; the final price depends on the size and complexity of your property, and any agreed supplements (for example, a habitable room in the roof). Where a supplement applies, I will tell you in advance. Payment is due after the assessment has taken place. I will not lodge your EPC on the national register until payment has been made and you have confirmed you wish to proceed.
5. Cancellations and changes
If you need to cancel or move an appointment, please let me know as soon as possible by phone or email so your slot can be offered to someone else. I will always try to rearrange at a time that suits you.
6. Assessments and certificates
Each EPC is produced using the government-approved RdSAP methodology and lodged on the national register, remaining valid for 10 years. Reports are typically delivered within 48 hours of the survey. The certificate reflects the property at the time of assessment; changes made afterwards are not covered.
7. Liability
I carry full professional indemnity and public liability insurance and take great care in my work. Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
