1. Who I am

RM Home Insights is operated by Russell, a self-employed Domestic Energy Assessor serving Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire. I am the data controller for the information collected through this website. You can contact me about privacy at russ@rmhomeinsights.co.uk or by phone on 07599 584214.

2. What information I collect

When you submit a booking request, a floor plan request, or contact me through a form on this site, I collect the details you provide. This typically includes:

• Names: your full name so I know who to address.
• Contact details: your email address and phone number so I can confirm and arrange your appointment.
• Property information: the property address and details such as property type, number of bedrooms, or preferred survey date, which I need to quote for and carry out the assessment.

3. How I use your information

Your details are used only to respond to your enquiry, arrange and carry out your EPC assessment or floor plan visit, produce and lodge your certificate, and keep records of work carried out. I do not sell your information and I do not use it for unrelated marketing.

4. Who your information is shared with

The information you submit is securely stored in the messaging system that powers this website and sent to me by email so I can respond. Your EPC's energy rating data must be lodged on the national EPC register, as required by law, in order for your certificate to be valid. I do not share your personal details with anyone else except where required by law.

5. How long I keep your information

Enquiry details are kept only for as long as needed to deal with your request and any follow-up. Records relating to completed assessments are retained for the period required by my accreditation scheme and by law, then securely deleted.

6. Your rights

You have the right to ask what information I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its use. To make a request, email russ@rmhomeinsights.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
